Hours After the Lakers’ Devastating Playoff Elimination, LeBron James Unwinds With Wine

LeBron James was seen exiting a restaurant early on the morning after his Game 5 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 30, just hours after the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from postseason contention. James seemed upbeat.

According to reports quoted by TMZ, the 40-year-old James was spotted leaving Wally’s in Beverly Hills at around 4:00, wearing a Louis Vuitton outfit and grinning broadly, showing that he wasn’t depressed by the loss.

With a bunch of close friends, including super-agent Rich Paul and Corey Gamble, the four-time champion walked to his car with a big water bottle and a lower back cushion.

Following a disappointing NBA Playoffs exit in which the Lakers lost a 4-1 series to the Timberwolves, who won 103-96 to win the series, James’ easygoing manner was evident.

Rudy Gobert scored 27 points and pulled down 24 rebounds, his career postseason highs, to lead the Timberwolves. Against a Los Angeles club that chose a smaller lineup, his dominant presence in the paint also took advantage of the Lakers’ center deficiency following the trade of Anthony Davis.
