Cooper Flagg’s Massive NIL Haul Will Shock You

NIL deals are now a significant source of revenue for rising stars in collegiate athletics. Cooper Flagg, a remarkable freshman at Duke, is currently the most recent and possibly the best illustration of this pattern.

Journalist Howard Bryant disclosed Flagg’s astounding earnings from two huge endorsement deals during a function at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

Bryant stated: “He had a $13 million deal with New Balance and then $15 million with Fanatics,”

Flagg put up impressive numbers and guided Duke to the Final Four. He scored 19.2 points, pulled down 7.5 rebounds, stole 1.4 rebounds, and blocked 1.4 blocks on average. He shoots 84% from the free-throw line, 39% from three, and 48% from the field.

He won national player of the year in part because of his outstanding performance. What really grabbed attention, though, was the amount of money associated with his NIL accomplishment rather than his on-court play.
