Fans of Caitlin Clark are not pleased this week. On June 30, the full rosters for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game were made public. First, Napheesa Collier, a star for the Minnesota Lynx and the Indiana Fever, was named captain of the two All-Star Teams.
The entire All-Star voting process was a combination of player votes (25%), media votes (25%), and fan votes (50%), however, the team captains were selected exclusively by fan vote.
Clark received a startling eighth place in player vote, despite winning first place with fans and third place among the media. Clark wasn’t even the Fever guard with the highest player voting ranking. Kelsey Mitchell was that person.
Clark did not have the highest weighted score among the guards as a result. Paige Bueckers, the first overall pick, was honored with that distinction. Naturally, Caitlin Clark fans had a lot to say about it. There was only one WNBA game to highlight on Tuesday, and it was naturally the Indiana Fever vs. Minnesota Lynx matchup.
When it came to the player votes, one fan wearing a jersey wanted to express her thoughts clearly.
She wrote: “9th in your player rankings, but 1st in your nightmare”
