On Sunday, Nikola Jokic was a champion once more, but not because of his achievements for the Denver Nuggets on the court.
Jokic, who may be even more devoted to horse racing than he is to basketball, was overjoyed on Sunday when one of his horses won a race in his home country of Serbia.
He was so overcome by the emotion that he started crying before taking to the track and cracking open some champagne to celebrate.

Jokic attended the Dužijanac 2025, a yearly horse racing competition held at the Hippodrome in Subotica, Serbia. The seven-time NBA All-Star broke down in tears as his horse, Demon Dell’Est, won the top award.

After his horse won the top reward, Jokic showed a lot more emotion than he did after winning an NBA title. He has won three MVP awards and an NBA Finals MVP award, but nothing appears to affect the 30-year-old more emotionally than his horses, as evidenced by his exuberant response after Sunday’s exciting victory.
