Talk about a crazy find! So get this – a beachgoer in Florida was just minding their own business, strolling along the shore, when they stumbled upon a package that looked like it was straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
You won’t believe what was inside – $500K worth of cocaine! And get this, the package was labeled with Yosemite Sam. Can you imagine finding something like that just washing up on the beach?
But here’s the kicker – before the lucky beachgoer could even think about cashing in on their unexpected discovery, the cops swooped in and confiscated the whole package.
A beachgoer on Sunday morning stumbled across nearly $500,000 worth of cocaine wrapped in the popular Looney Tunes antagonist.
It can complete with his big red mustache, six-shooters, and standing guard over 25 kilos (55 lbs.) of the drugs. The Sheriff’s Office estimated that the amount of cocaine would be worth approximately half a million dollars.
Officials are cautioning beachgoers not to touch suspicious packages and to contact authorities immediately.
In its statement, the Sheriff’s Office reminded people who find what it called “square groupers” to leave them there and notify authorities, adding, “the contents could be harmful.”
Talk about a bust! Looks like Yosemite Sam won’t be dealing any more “goods” in that neck of the woods. Just goes to show, you never know what you might find on a sunny day at the beach.
