The Dallas Mavericks are eyeing LeBron James, but get this – there’s only one condition.
Rumor has it that the Mavs are only interested in signing LeBron if the Los Angeles Lakers agrees to a buyout.
As per Dave McMenamin of ‘ESPN,’ James might be traded to the Mavericks under one condition only. And that is, if the Lakers agree for a buyout. Simply put, the Mavs would be interested if James becomes a free agent. But at the moment, the possibility of the same happening looks quite bleak.
“Dallas—I’m told—they would only be interested in LeBron in a buyout situation,” McMenamin reported Thursday on ESPN Radio 710 in Los Angeles.
As per Rich Paul, James is still hungry about winning championships. Paul also pointed out that at such a critical stage of his career, James needs to evaluate what’s best for him. Thus, with all the information coming at once, social media was buzzing with anticipation.
So there you have it. The Dallas Mavericks are ready to welcome LeBron with open arms, as long as Lakers are ready to agree to a buyout agreement. Will this trade ever happen? Only time will tell!
