During a Hunting Trip to South Africa, Jay Cutler Poses With an Animal He Killed, Causing Uproar

For taking pictures with an animal he killed while hunting in South Africa, Jay Cutler has received a lot of criticism. For posting a photo of the dead animal on social media, the former NFL quarterback received backlash from fans.

The former Chicago Bears player Jay Cutler provoked uproar on Sunday night when he shared a picture of a deceased Sable Antelope on Instagram. Cutler had traveled to the city of Tyityaba in the Eastern Cape to go hunting with buddies.

Posing next to the lifeless animal, the 43-year-old acknowledged that it was, in fact, his kill. Cutler captioned the photo, writing: “Kicked off the Africa hunt with a beauty. Sable down,”

Cutler’s following of almost 603,000 people saw the message. On the other hand, Cutler’s smile next to the killed animal disgusted fans. Among the remarks were the following:

“Wow, Jay. You killed a wild animal in a place it’s rarely hunted and it had zero idea you were a threat. Suppeeerrr impressive buddy,”

“This is nothing to brag about,”

“Why is this necessary?”

“The worst kind of flex,”

Cutler spent 12 seasons as an NFL player. He spent eight seasons playing with the Bears, and his time there is what made him most famous.

Cutler guided the Bears to the 2010 NFC Championship game and was selected to the 2008 Pro Bowl. As a first-round selection of the Denver Broncos, he joined the NFL in 2006.
