On and off the field, Deion Sanders has always valued family. However, what started out as friendly sibling rivalry has turned into a full-fledged media circus once his kids Shedeur and Shilo joined the NFL.
The turmoil surrounding the Sanders family never seems to stop, from lighthearted claims of fake cleats to heated arguments on social media. In order to avoid picking a preference, Coach Prime is now intervening with a daring—and logistically challenging—plan to personally attend both sons’ training sessions.
Shilo accused Shedeur of wearing fake Nike Diamond Turf cleats, which sparked the most recent feud. With a wry acknowledgement, Deion, ever the mediator, replied, “It never stops.” Using his trademark sense of humor, he posted the humorous exchange on Instagram without taking sides.
However, Deion has made the decision to physically be present for both sons as a devoted father and expert coach.
In a now-public phone conversation, he informed Shilo: “I’m going try my best to rent a plane and come down to see you, then go see Shedeur and go to work,”
At that moment, Shilo said with joy: “And you’re coming to my practice first. So that means I’m your favorite son. All right. Thank you.”

Shilo turned antagonism into prime-time entertainment by posting the call on his YouTube channel, and the occasion ended with a mic drop.
At a time when schedules and time zones sometimes drive families apart, Coach Prime’s new travel approach reflects his growing dedication to his boys, who are now professionals on several NFL teams.
Deion promised to connect for personalized Diamond Turf cleats, giving Shilo another win: “I get in touch with him this weekend so you can let him know what color you want your stuff.”
Deion, however, was careful to level the playing field by stating that Shedeur’s shoes are authentic and that the argument was never about favoritism within the family. This most recent fraternal conflict only serves to emphasize a deeper connection: the boys’ want to gain their father’s respect and approval in quantifiable ways.
