Powerlifter Stefi Cohen, who has one million Instagram followers, is accused of scratching her boyfriend during a furious argument just before she was arrested last week.
TMZ Sports was able to get court documents that show Cohen allegedly got into a physical argument with her boyfriend on July 1 at around 12:47 PM at a home in the Miami area.
According to the documents, the claimed victim informed authorities that he and Cohen were disagreeing about their relationship, but he chose to leave after realizing Cohen “was recording their conversation.”
The man claimed to have taken his phone and placed it in his pocket, and Cohen reacted violently to him when she believed he had taken her phone.
According to Cohen’s accuser, she tore his pants pocket during the altercation and scratched him on his chest and neck. The document’s note Cohen provided a different account, claiming that her partner scraped her face and hit her with a closed hand; however, the report states:
“based on the fact that the victim in this case is a professional fighter and the allegations made by the defendant claim that she was struck by him with a closed first, there is no physical evidence of injuries on the defendant that supports her allegations.”
In the end, Cohen was taken to jail and charged with domestic abuse battery. Cohen, who was also arrested for sexual cyberharassment last year, has not yet addressed the issue in public. She goes as Dr. Stefi Cohen on Instagram, and her page is now set to private.
