In response to Ben Roethlisberger’s assertion that Aaron Rodgers was a superior quarterback over the Kansas City Chiefs star, Patrick Mahomes’s trainer has retaliated.
When Roethlisberger, 43, gave his client Mahomes, 29, a scathing put-down, Bobby Stroupe was furious. The news that Rodgers, 41, has signed a one-year contract worth more than $13 million to become the new quarterback for his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, thrilled two-time Super Bowl champion Roethlisberger.
Most people agree that Chiefs hero Mahomes is currently the greatest in the NFL at that position. Despite this, Roethlisberger declared that if given the option, he would prefer to have Rodgers at his side. In 2022, Roethlisberger announced his retirement: “I would take Aaron and his prime over Patrick now.”
“I think Rodgers at his prime was one of the top few to ever do it, and so is Mahomes at his prime.
“Mahomes is just entering out of his prime. I think Aaron Rodgers.”
However, Mahomes’ trainer Stroupe took offense with Roethlisberger’s remarks. He responded to Roethlisberger on social media by criticizing the ace’s own level of fitness, while Mahomes is still going strong in the lead-up to his 30th birthday in September.
Stroupe stated: “Not everybody quits working out at 30 years old, Ben.”
