Antonio Brown Trolls Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s WNBA Petition

Amid a string of unsettling WNBA occurrences, Antonio Brown has provoked criticism once more, this time directed at Caitlin Clark, a rookie for the Indiana Fever. As the NFL deals with a concerning trend of fan conduct, including inappropriate things being thrown onto the court, the former wide receiver shared a graphic, Photoshopped image on social media.

In his now-famous tweet, Brown included a Photoshopped picture of Clark sporting a shirt that read, “Pay us in green floppy d**dos.” Players recently brought attention to the WNBA’s “Pay Us What You Owe Us” campaign during the 2025 All-Star Game, and the comment seemed to make fun of it.

After stalled collective bargaining negotiations, over 40 players met with league executives, bringing the movement—which aims to advocate for better compensation and working conditions—to the forefront.

The backdrop of Brown’s post made it particularly startling. Fans had thrown sex objects onto the court during two different WNBA games just days prior. The first incident happened during a game between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries in College Park.

Another occurred during a Valkyries vs. Chicago Sky game, which caused the game to stop in the middle of the third quarter. Players harshly criticized both occurrences, with many pointing out the growing disrespect and lack of safety at games.
