Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, just made a big move by trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. And of course, he had a lot to say about it.

Jerry spilled the beans on why he decided to make the trade. According to him, it’s in the best interest of the team.

It has been the biggest saga of the preseason: after weeks of uncertainty, Micah Parsons has officially joined the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster deal just before the NFL season kicks off. Now, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has broken his silence, explaining the details of the trade and why he believes the move ultimately benefits Dallas.

“We did think it was in the best interest of our organization… We gained a Pro Bowl player in an area that we had concerns in,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said about the Micah Parsons trade, as reported by Adam Schefter on his X account.

Jones also emphasized the Cowboys’ defensive needs, saying, “The facts are we need to stop the run. We haven’t been able to stop the run for several years.” He went on to add, “Those draft picks could get us top Pro Bowl players,” highlighting what he views as the key benefits of the Micah Parsons trade for Dallas.

So there you have it! Jerry Jones ain’t holding back when it comes to shaking things up in the NFL. Can’t wait to see how this trade plays out on the field!
