Michelle Obama believes that Stephen A. Smith and Andy Cohen share a lot of similarities, at least in their day jobs. This is because the former First Lady claims that ESPN shows are similar to “Real Housewives”—they are basically a bunch of shouting.
During her ‘IMO’ podcast with her brother Craig Robinson this week, Michelle expressed her own thoughts, saying she’s had to defend her taste in entertainment against Barack and other relations.
Michelle clarified that while her brother and Barry O. think sports content is more important than her favorite reality TV shows, when she watches what’s happening at ESPN, she sees the same thing—just a different subject.
She said: “There’s drama in sports,”. “If I listen to ESPN for an hour, it’s like watching ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ It’s the same drama, and they’re yelling at each other and they don’t get along. Stephen A. Smith, he’s just like every other talk show host.”
Michelle is pointing out the hypocrisy of Barack and her brother’s position, not necessarily the network’s merchandise.
She continued by saying that after years of arguments, it’s amazing to watch the talking heads never agree.
