Aaron Rodgers experienced a quick change from excitement to frustration during “Thursday Night Football” when a teammate’s actions interrupted his celebration by knocking him down.
After he successfully tossed a 68-yard touchdown pass to put Pittsburgh ahead 31-30 with just over two minutes left in the game, he started his signature Mario Bros. pump as he was leaving the field.
In the midst of this move, his left tackle, Broderick Jones, wanted to show appreciation for his quarterback, so he approached from behind and gave him a big hug, causing them to both fall to the ground.

Rodgers’ irritation was evident on his face, and as he got back up, he pushed Jones away before walking off the field. Considering Rodgers’ history with injuries, it’s likely he wasn’t thrilled about being brought down unexpectedly.
Rodgers has dealt with uncomfortable celebrations before; just last year, he was questioned by the media after a moment with Robert Saleh, where he seemed to decline a hug from his then-coach.
He dismissed any suggestions of conflict between them, stating he wasn’t aware that Saleh was attempting to hug him.
