Shaquille O’Neal is searching for answers after his custom-built Range Rover, worth around $180,000, vanished during transport. The vehicle was reportedly headed to Baton Rouge, ahead of O’Neal’s apprearence at Louisiana State University game.
When it failed to reach its destination, the transport company FirstLine Trucking LLC alerted authorities. Investigators later learned that the company’s tracking system may have been hacked, raising suspicions that criminals manipulated logistics to intercept the SUV and reroute the delivery.
The luxury SUV, modified to fit his 7-foot-1 frame, was shipped from a Georgia auto shop to Louisiana on Monday, October 20 but never arrived. O’Neal’s representatives are cooperating with law enforcement while the customizing company, Effortless Motors, has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to recovery of the vehicle.
Police in Lumpkin County, Georgia, have launched an active investigation and identified several persons of interest.
The Range Rover features extended seating, upgraded suspension, and custom tech designed for O’Neal’s size. Its disappearance highlights growing concerns about cyber theft and transport security in luxury vehicle shipping.
O’Neal known for his extensive car collection, has not commented publicly but reportedly wants the SUV found quickly before it vanishes overseas or into the black market.
