Now the family has spoken out thanking everyone for their support and sympathy toward Sanchez.

On Saturday, the football world was shocked to learn that Mark Sanchez had been hospitalized after being stabbed numerous times in Indianapolis. The former USC quarterback was in Indy to cover the Colts’ home game against the New York Jets with his broadcast partner, Chris Myers.
But in an unexpected twist, it was later reported that Sanchez had attacked a 69-year-old truck driver delivering cooking oil to a local hotel. The man told police he stabbed Sanchez in self-defense, fearing that the former NFL quarterback was trying to kill him.
The 38-year-old Mark Sanchez was arrested, charged with a felony and faces a potential prison sentence of six years.
Mark’s brother, Nick Sanchez, broke the family’s silence with a statement to TMZ Sports following the horrific incident. Nick thanked those who have offered their support while adding that Mark is still receiving medical care:
“This has been a deeply distressing time for everyone involved. Mark and our family are incredibly grateful for the concern, love, and support we’ve received over the past few days.
Mark remains under medical care for the serious injuries he sustained and is focused on his recovery as the legal process continues. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the first responders and medical staff.”
An insider at Fox has confirmed that Mark Sanchez will no longer appear on the network and that they’re already looking for a replacement.
