Thanks to Miss Indiana’s costume tribute to the Fever star, Caitlin Clark‘s influence has reached the Miss USA 2025 contest!
Sydney Shrewsbury and the other competitors participated in the state costume display at the competition’s preliminary round on Monday at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
While some opted for outfits with animal and weather themes, Shrewsbury showed off her athletic side by donning a bespoke crop top and shorts that had Clark’s No. 22 and were colored like the Indiana Fever.
At Miss USA, one of the phases of competition is the state costume, where the contestants display custom outfits that shows admirable qualities of their state.

Shrewsbury, 24, also wore a robe with a basketball net trimmed over her shoulders and a purse in the shape of a basketball. Even though the Fever guard missed a significant portion of the 2025 season due to injury, this is further evidence that the “Caitlin Clark effect” is still very much alive and well.
Clark has given the organization a boost in popularity since the 2024 WNBA Draft, which has increased viewership and ticket sales. Her team has seen a 25–30% spike in attendance, including multiple sellout games.
