NBA Team To Re-sign Steph Curry’s Brother Seth Curry After Being Cut By The Warriors

Seth Curry is once again proving that having a legendary older brother doesn’t guarantee career success. After being booted from the Golden State Warriors, Seth is reportedly getting re-signed by another NBA team.

I smell Steph Curry influence in the re-signing of Seth Curry. Family will always be family, you know?

Curry is a beast on the court;

However, his younger brother Seth has been waived by the Warriors without even playing a game.

The 35-year-old signed a one-year contract with the franchise ahead of the 2025-26 season.

He started his professional career with Golden State’s affiliate the Santa Cruz Warriors after going undrafted in 2013.

Curry Jr. made one appearance for the Memphis Grizzlies in December 2013 before joining the Cleveland Cavaliers later that season.

Curry had joined his older brother at Golden State earlier this month.

Yet he has already been released before the season has begun.

It is understood that this is because the Warriors are hoping to avoid exceeding the NBA’s strict salary cap.

The Warriors’ $206.3 million payroll falls just short of the NBA’s second salary cap apron.

Exceeding this would risk severe penalties from league officials.

Essentially, the Warriors cannot afford the veteran’s minimum contract.

Instead, it is expected that Curry will be able to return to the Warriors’ roster in early November.

This will create the opportunity for the Curry brothers to play alongside each other for the first time.

Curry Jr. did not feature for the Warriors in any of their preseason games despite this long-game approach.

So congrats to Seth Curry as he gets re-signed by another NBA team following the brutal Warriors cut.
