Video: Malik Beasley’s Lawyer Forces Him To Delete Video Addressing Allegations Of Gambling

Malik Beasley saw the news, grabbed his phone, hit record to address the gambling allegations amid the ongoing NBA investigations.

Enter his lawyer Steve Haney, who had to force the NBA star to delete the video since the NBA isn’t done with their investigations.

While the FBI has promptly cleared him of any wrongdoing, the league has conducted its own due diligence to investigate the matter. Beasley has so far cleared the air about his plans for his basketball future. He implied that he is itching to play again. In a recent video released by Malik Beasley’s team, they allegedly halted a video update about his plans. The clip has since been reposted on X.

The note read as follows: “Malik’s lawyer, Steve Haney, told us it’s best in his interest if he holds off on this talking points as it can be used against him [Malik]. Until full clearance, we have to adjust the video. As annoying it is to us as well, we have to be patient and be easy. Malik is currently in Miami working on his game. As any day, he will be back.”

So is he guilty? Innocent? Or just bad at PR? No one knows.

But next time Malik wants to speak, he better run it by his lawyer and PR and maybe his grandma.
