Aaron Rodgers didn’t sugarcoat his performance after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 25–10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night. The veteran quarterback admitted he played far below expectations.
“This was not my best performance,” he said. “I got to play better than this for us to win. Whatever it takes … if it’s better checks, if it’s better throws, whatever it is, I got to play better. I will. … We got to play better on offense, for sure. But this is part of the season. There’s ebbs and flows, there’s ups and downs, and we can’t ride the wave.”
Rodgers finished with just 161 passing yards, completing 16 of 31 attempts with two interceptions. His passer rating barely cleared 50, marking one of his roughest outings since joining the Steelers.
The Steelers now sit at 5–4, facing questions about their offensive rhythm as they head toward the season’s midpoint. Rodgers, however, appeared determined to fix things quickly.
Head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t offer much sympathy, responding curtly when asked about his quarterback’s struggles. Watch below:

“I’m not lacking confidence,” Tomlin said. “I don’t need a pat on the back. We stunk it up tonight. We’ll be back.”
