Ben Johnson gave one of his thrilling locker room hype speeches, which are now weekly routines that leave you wondering how he has a voice afterward. However, he put a humorous twist to the event by ripping off his shirt, which appeared to be a first for the squad.
Are the Bears really that good? They easily defeated the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles in a convincing road victory at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, and it’s beginning to feel that way. According to the NFL’s playoff predictor, Chicago maintains its top spot in the difficult NFC North with the statement dub and increases its odds of making the playoffs to 79%.
The players cheered and screamed with excitement as Johnson pulled his shirt over his head. The bare-chested coach then led the group through his customary “good, better, best” rallying cry, but with less clothing than normal.

In an interesting turn of events, however, Johnson might have been doing his city a favor by taking off the additional layer.
In a locker room speech, the Weiners Circle, a hot dog stand on Chicago’s north side, offered free hot dogs to everyone if Johnson removed his shirt (they executed a similar trick for Caleb Williams earlier this season). That might have contributed to the coach’s self-assurance on Friday.
