The Jacksonville Jaguars have landed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders, answering one of their biggest offensive needs. The deal, confirmed Tuesday, sends a fourth- and sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Raiders in exchange for the veteran pass-catcher.

Meyers had been looking for a new start for weeks. Meyers had requested a trade earlier this year in August after contract talks stalled and the Raiders denied his request. The 28-year-old leaves the Raiders after posting 33 receptions for 352 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Meyers was playing out the last season of his three-year, $33 million contract signed with Las Vegas in 2023.
For Jacksonville, the move comes at the perfect time. With Travis Hunter sidelined due to injury and the offense struggling for consistency, the Jaguars needed a dependable route-runner. Meyers fits that role perfectly, as a smart receiver who knows how to find soft spots in coverage.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence now gains another reliable weapon as the Jaguars push for a playoff run. Meanwhile, the Raiders, now 2-6, appears to lean toward a rebuild.
For Meyers, it’s a chance to prove he’s still one of the NFL’s most underrated receivers.
