Jameis Winston sings mid-interview after starting as quarterback for the Giants.
Leave it to Jameis Winston to turn a boring press conference into a full-blown concert. The man finally gets his shot as the Giants’ starting quarterback and instead of breaking down coverages, he decides it’s time to sing. Yes, sing right there in front of the cameras, microphones, and very confused reporters.
During his Wednesday press conference, the 31-year-old veteran, replacing Super Bowl champ Russell Wilson as QB1, radiated unfiltered gratitude for the “amazing opportunity” he was given by interim head coach Mike Kafka just a day prior.
“I was just grateful,” he told reporters. “I’m so happy and grateful that I get to be the starting quarterback for the New York Giants for this week.”
While answering a question about his expectations, he ended up referencing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton,” saying;

“I’m going to be singing it with my son.”
At least he gave us a reason to smile. Because in a season full of injuries, upsets, and questionable play-calling, Jameis Winston just gave us something rare, entertainment as QB just dropped the hottest live performance of the week. Somebody get that man a mic and a contract, the NFL’s first singing quarterback has arrived.
