Jason Williams believes he understands the reason for Klay Thompson‘s struggles this season!
Just one week after the Dallas Mavericks announced they were benching the four-time NBA champion, who is averaging just 7.4 points per game while shooting 26.7% from three, the former NBA star stated as much on the “Hoopin’ N Hollerin'” podcast on Wednesday.
Williams, a 12-year NBA veteran, spoke up when Patrick Beverly and the rest of the podcast team brought up Thompson’s recent romance with Meg, one of the hottest talents in music.
Williams stated: “I’m from West Virginia, man, I’ve been taught a lot from old folks, old white folks,” “It only takes one p**** to drag a battleship across the desert. That’s how powerful it is.”
“Klay Thompson, I ain’t sayin’ that’s what it is … but that might be what it is.”
Williams (also known as “White Chocolate”) is not alone. While some Thompson supporters think his age and previous ailments are catching up with him, others have also blamed Meg.
This summer, Klay and Meg made their romance public, and they seem to be smitten. She even released a brand-new song called “Lover Girl” that she dedicated to KT.
