Leave it to Amon-Ra St. Brown to make headlines for something nobody saw coming on the football field. The Detroit Lions star turned political entertainer for a hot minute, showing off a surprisingly accurate version of Donald Trump’s signature dance during Trump’s visit to DC. Yes, you read right!
It all went down like this: Trump arrives, cameras flashing, suits everywhere, and then boom, Amon-Ra starts doing the viral dance.
After taking a 14-3 lead, St. Brown appeared to point directly up to Trump and did the President’s signature ‘twist’ dance alongside his teammates – including fellow wideout Jameson Williams.
It’s not clear if that was an homage to the President, or a way to mock him – considering St. Brown plays for the road team.
There was really mad fun at the stadium despite the Trump not being the president almost everyone wants.

Trump sat in a luxury box at the game alongside Commanders owner Josh Harris after arriving in Landover by helicopter – shortly after Air Force One flew over Northwest Stadium.
He was later shown on the jumbotron. According to Washington Post Commanders beat writer Tom Schad, there were ‘lots of boos’ when the President was projected on screen.
At the half, Trump read off an Oath of Enlistment to a group of citizens signing up to join the American military. That too was met with resounding boos from the audience.
Trump’s attendance at the game comes after reports indicated that he has requested the football team to name their upcoming $3billion+ stadium project after him.
In the end, Amon-Ra St. Brown proved two things: he’s more than just a football star, and yes, he can outshine a president in pure entertainment value. Whether you love it, hate it, or just can’t stop laughing, one thing’s clear, DC got a welcome it will never forget, courtesy of the Lions’ most unexpected dancer.
