Former adult film star Lana Rhoades has issued an emotional plea to content distributors, requesting the permanent deletion of more than 400 of her videos, reigniting global debate over performer rights and the permanence of digital media.
Rhoades, who retired from the industry several years ago, explained her decision stems primarily from a desire to shield her young son from her past work.
“I was 19, broke, and groomed,” Rhoades said in an online statement. “I want every video gone so my son never sees his mom like that.”
The request highlights a growing conversation about the rights of performers, particularly those who enter the industry at a young age, to reclaim control over their image and content after retirement.
NBA Paternity Speculation
The content deletion request has also brought renewed attention to the persistent speculation surrounding the father of Rhoades’ child, who she has confirmed is an active or former NBA player.
Rhoades has been vocal about the circumstances of the pregnancy, stating on her podcast, 3 Girls, 1 Kitchen, that the unnamed father told her to “go f— myself” after she informed him she was expecting. She also provided key details, saying the player was a Libra who was on the Brooklyn Nets team at the time.
While the player’s identity remains officially unconfirmed by both Rhoades and the alleged father, social media speculation has centered on several names, primarily:
- Blake Griffin: Griffin, who was a member of the Nets when Rhoades made her initial comments, became the leading suspect after photos of the infant went viral. Online observers widely noted a striking resemblance between the child and a young Griffin, leading to widespread but unverified claims.
- Bruce Brown: Later speculation shifted to Bruce Brown, another former Nets player. This theory gained traction due to various social media connections, including Rhoades being noted to follow Brown and engage with his online content.
Despite years of public discussion and viral theories, the identity of Rhoades’ son’s father remains an open-ended mystery, continuing to fuel discussion across entertainment and sports circles.
