Pat McAfee Firmly Defends Putting Donald Trump On His Show

Pat McAfee is firmly defending interviewing Donald Trump on his show.

Pat McAfee has officially entered the “I said what I said” era. The sports talk host, is standing tall after critics came for him over having Donald Trump on his show. And in classic McAfee fashion, he’s not backing down, not even a little.

After the internet lost its collective mind about Trump’s appearance, McAfee basically shrugged and said, “It’s my show, not yours.” Translation: if you don’t like it, go watch something else.

POTUS phoned in to chop it up about sports and politics on the ESPN show on Tuesday as part of the federal holiday celebration honoring the U.S. military … and some of his viewers weren’t thrilled.

One fan even said, “Worst president we’ve ever had. Sad PM allows this trash on his show.”

Pat wasn’t going to allow himself to be trashed as he jumped in and defended his decision.

“I will like to say, though, for the immediate people that are gonna mad about that happening — it’s the President of the United States,” McAfee said.

“It’s Veterans Day. He’s the Commander-in-Chief. Obviously, if we have the opportunity to talk to him, we’re going to … and he’s hilarious!”

At the end of the day, McAfee isn’t trying to be CNN or Fox News, he’s trying to be entertaining. And honestly, mission accomplished.

In the world of Pat McAfee, there’s only one rule: say it loud, say it proud, and make sure it trends by lunchtime.
