Sydney Sweeney‘s wardrobe is limitless. She has experimented with goth in Versace, preppy in Miu Miu, and even dressed up as Britney Spears from the 2000s for her birthday in archival The Blonds. The Euphoria star excels when she keeps things modest in her trademark Old Hollywood flair, despite the variety of styles at her disposal.
Alongside celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Dakota Johnson, and Jennifer Lopez, Sweeney attended the 16th Governors Awards on Sunday, November 16 in Hollywood. The Anyone But You actress held her own in a Miu Miu ensemble that completely wowed, despite the guest list of seasoned style legends.
Her strapless gown, styled by her go-to Molly Dickson, had a form-fitting bodice that fanned into a floor-length quasi-mermaid design with a cleavage-baring sweetheart neckline, a Sweeney favorite. A draped, scarf-like element that joined in the back and billowed out like a train was another surprising variation on the off-the-shoulder trend. Megawatt rhinestones adorned the costume, aside from the striking back accent, and they glistened with each step she took.
Sweeney wore very little jewelry because her dress was shimmering enough. She chose a ring and sparkling diamond-encrusted earrings instead of bulkier statement items. When combined with the retro-inspired curls of her blonde haircut, the entire ensemble gave off an Old Hollywood vibe.
