Watch Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry Fall Off Stage During Miss Universe Contest

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry is out of Miss Universe contest after stage fall.

Miss Universe is usually a night of elegance, poise, and strategic hair flips. But for Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry, it turned into a physics lesson the judges definitely weren’t expecting. According to the video reports, she was confidently strutting, trying to dazzle the judges with some extra flair until gravity aggressively stepped in like, “Not today, queen.” One slip later, she was off the stage on a stretcher and unfortunately out of the competition.

Now, before we continue, let’s be clear: this is not a roast of Gabrielle. Falling off a stage is every contestant’s nightmare. Such an unfortunate moment for Gabrielle Henry.

Just hours later, the Miss Universe Organization released an update on Henry’s injuries. (The incident comes just days before the Miss Universe finals in Thailand Nov. 25.)

“She was rushed to the Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries,” the statement read. “However, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.”

While Henry focuses on healing, the organization asked their global community to “stay upbeat, lift her in prayer, and send positive thoughts as she receives the necessary medical care.”

Miss Universe Organization President Raúl Rocha also had this to say about the unfortunate situation;

“I would like to share with the Miss Universe family that are concerned for the health of our Miss Universe Jamaica that at 12:00 a.m. Bangkok time, that I have just left the hospital where she is being treated,” the post read. “I was there with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care. She will remain under observation for the rest of the night and we will remain in touch with her family to support her.”

“Our prayers go out for her prompt recovery,” he added.

Let’s be real, though, pageant stages are basically shiny ice rinks in heels. One wrong angle and you’re going viral. So, respect to Gabrielle for even attempting something more than the standard walk. She didn’t just walk, she tried to impress. Confidence was at 100. Traction was at zero.

The good news? This moment doesn’t define her. If anything, it adds to her story. Miss Universe may be over for now, but she’ll likely be back, stronger, smarter, and maybe in flats.
