Food delivery driver Aladrian Chandler is in legal trouble over sexual misconduct.
The community is reeling after the arrest of food delivery driver Aladrian Chandler being accused of engaging in inappropriate relations with a teenage boy inside her car while her young children were present. This is wild and unacceptable.
Chandler is now facing the law and it’s our hope that justice will be served.
Chandler admitted to a ‘sexual encounter’ with the young teen, but said they did not have intercourse, according to a police report obtained by WBTW.
She also claimed to have believed the boy was older than he was, though ‘mistake of age’ is not a defense in South Carolina law.
The report said that the 14-year-old told police that he met his accused abuser when she was delivering food.
The pair are understood to have exchanged phone numbers on November 16 and began texting each other.
During the investigation, Chandler gave a written statement that said the boy had taken the gun out of her car after she had gone to a friend’s house to discuss that she had been talking to the minor.
If Chandler is found guilty of her felony charge she will face two to ten years in prison.
In situations like this, there are no winners. There is only the hope that the teen and children affected receive the support they need to heal, and that justice is handled with the seriousness such a case demands.
