Dr. Umar Johnson has shared his thoughts on Serena Williams and Venus Williams marry white men, Alexis Ohanian and Andrea Preti and it isn’t what you think.
Dr. Umar Johnson, the always-opinionated psychologist and speaker, recently let the world know that it “hurts” him to see tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams married to white men. Yes, you read that right. The same women who conquered Wimbledon, smashed rackets (and stereotypes), and became billion-dollar brands are apparently giving Dr. Johnson some serious heartache.
In a recent rant, because what’s a day without a good rant from Umar?, he went on why Serena and Venus Williams had to marry into a race that once called them apes all because they conquered a white-dominated sport.
With that being said, when you watch the video, you will see that Dr. Umar is very complimentary of both sisters. While he disagrees with them marrying outside the race, he understands why they did it and doesn’t hold it against them.
