According to NBC 4 Los Angeles, the older brother of Los Angeles Rams standout Puka Nacua was detained this past weekend for allegedly stealing Los Angeles Lakers rookie Adou Thiero’s vehicle without his permission.
Samson Nacua, 27, and Trey Rose, 27, were reportedly detained for stealing the vehicle. After the car was tracked to the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood, deputies were allegedly called to the location.
Similar to his brother, Samson Nacua played football for BYU before attending Utah. Over the course of five seasons, he amassed 1,344 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Samson hasn’t played in the NFL, but Puka went on to become one of the league’s best receivers with the Rams.
After being passed over in the 2022 NFL Draft, Samson signed with the Indianapolis Colts, although he was left off of the team’s 53-man roster. Before the 2024 season, he was given another chance to play with the New Orleans Saints, but he was once more passed over. He has played for the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL and the Michigan Panthers of the UFL.
He was suspended from a game while he was a member of the Panthers for slapping a supporter.
