Sherrone Moore is on the chopping board over his inappropriate romance with Paige Shiver.
During a Donald Trump skit, SNL took a sharp turn and dragged fired coach Sherrone Moore straight into the comedy blender. And yes, they went there. The joke referenced Moore’s reported inappropriate affair with Paige Shiver, and the audience knew exactly what was happening.
Nothing says “you’ve made it” like becoming an SNL punchline. Unfortunately for Moore, this is not the fun kind.
The skit was already loud. Big energy. Over-the-top Trump impressions. Wild hand gestures.
The Sherrone Moore scandal made the SNL cold open:
"Oh, how great is Karoline Leavitt? We love her. She's got a beautiful face. And those lips that don't quit. Pretty amazing that I can just openly simp over my young blond subordinate — it's giving MICHIGAN FOOTBALL COACH… pic.twitter.com/XxwuLVJELn

The episode began with President Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson. He was hosting a press conference aboard Air Force One. Ashley Padilla played White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“Pretty amazing that I could just openly simp over my young blonde subordinate,” the character said. “It’s giving Michigan football coach. Can we get a close-up?” he added. “Let’s get a close-up on her mouth. It’s one of my dot mouths. I love that mouth. Look at that.”
Sherrone Moore’s legal troubles aren’t over yet even though he’s secured bail.
Following his firing, Sherrone Moore was taken into custody for an alleged assault. He has since been freed on bail. Moore now faces third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering charges.
The lesson here is simple. Bad decisions don’t stay private. They grow legs. They get headlines. And eventually, they get jokes written about them by people at SNL.
