After Fernando Mendoza and the football team won the school’s first-ever CFP title on Monday night, the Hoo-Hoo-Hoo Hoosier supporters went crazy and celebrated in the streets of Bloomington.
The game was close, but the #1 ranked Hoosiers defeated the #10 ranked Hurricanes 27-21 thanks to a late stop. After that, chaos broke out!
The streets were closed as thousands of fans descended upon Bloomington’s downtown, transforming the area into a wild block party!
Fans were seen on camera scaling everything in sight, and we’re not just talking about light poles. It was a crazy scene.

Before authorities made an effort to bring everyone back to street level, they were largely successful. Hoosiers supporters had been spotted scaling buildings and celebrating on the roofs (yes, really).
Some fans ended themselves in the sidewalk bushes since getting down wasn’t as simple as going up. Additionally, there was crowd surfing and an unplanned bonfire.
