In Sunday’s NBA London Game against the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic, Ja Morant made his first lineup appearance in two weeks. In his 19th game of the season, the point guard—who has already missed enough games to be disqualified from major awards—looked quite at ease and performed admirably. He made 3 of 4 three-point shots and finished with 24 points and 13 assists.
He actually shot so brilliantly that it was worth celebrating, and after one particularly deep three, he pantomimed with a bazooka.
Considering that he was previously punished for flashing a real gun on Instagram Live and fined by the league for a finger gun celebration, that is an amazing decision.

He told a member of the media that last year’s grenade celebration, which was imitated by other athletes, wasn’t really a grenade celebration, thus we can presume a humorous denial is on the way. You might believe this is just comedic heightening.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens as the trade deadline draws near, but Morant shown on Sunday that he is still capable of playing. With a current record of 18–23, the Grizzlies are ranked as the 10th seed in the Western Conference. Perhaps it’s time to blow it up.
