Jaden Renee Charles is facing sexual assault charges after allegedly having relations with teenage student in Walmart parking lot.
Another day, another headline that makes people stop scrolling and say, “Wait, what?” That’s exactly what happened when news broke about mother of four, Jaden Renee Charles and her recent arrest. According to police reports, Charles was taken into custody following allegations of sexual relations involving a teenage student in Walmart parking lot.
The charges against Charles stem from an incident on February 29, 2024, when she allegedly drove three students, including the 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, to the Walmart in Alice at around 2.10am, KRIS 6 News reports.
She then allegedly tied a blanket around the front seats’ headrests of her SUV and had sex with the 14 year old in the front seat while the other two teenagers sat in the back seat.
At the time, Charles claimed she was pregnant with the 14 year old’s baby, according to court documents.
But the investigation into Charles’ behavior first began when a student was caught with a vape on campus, according to Scripps News.
This is highly unacceptable and we are condemning it.
The Agua Dulce Independent School District then spoke to several students and teachers about the incident, and learned that Charles had provided the student with the vape.
As authorities then investigated the incident, officers learned that Charles may have provided vapes containing THC to several students, City Marshal Joe Martinez told 3NEWS at the time.
She had allegedly started purchasing the vapes for the boys two years prior, before she started teaching.
Martinez also said officers interviewed five different male students, four of whom confirmed they had inappropriate relations with Charles and said she was providing them with THC vapes and alcohol.
He then claimed that Charles allegedly had sexual relations with two students prior to being employed with the Agua Dulce Independent School District.
Chief Eden Garcia from the Alice Police Department further said that there was proof of her being with the students.
‘We do have parents that were concerned and made some calls about their children being with a teacher,’ Garcia said.
‘We do have video of the teacher with a student at one of the hotels.’
This story serves as another reminder. Bad decisions don’t stay private. Headlines travel faster than common sense and once your name is attached to a case like this, it doesn’t just disappear.
The court process will continue and that’s where the real outcome will be decided.
