Not only did Leonard Taylor block a field goal. His chaotic and contentious post-game media session also lit up the timeline!
With 4:46 remaining in Sunday’s AFC Championship, the Patriots’ defensive lineman made a major contribution by putting his hands on a possible game-tying kick and securing New England’s trip back to the Super Bowl.
After the amazing play, chaos broke out on the field and in the stadium, and the excitement carried over into the Pats locker room.
Speaking to reporters following the team’s 10-7 victory over the Denver Broncos, Taylor described the block and casually said the now-viral line:
“I jumped up and got a taste of the ball — no Diddy,”

The interview was what caused social media to go crazy, even if the block itself was enormous—full extension, ideal timing, and deep snow. Then came the memes.
Why is it even more bizarre? Taylor wasn’t meant to be present. After a 0–6 start in 2024, he was cut by the Jets and went undrafted.
He only had 16 defensive and four special teams snaps on Sunday.
