When people say teachers should spend more time with students, this is not what they mean. Yet here we are.
Married female teacher McKenna Kindred is making headlines after being arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student that reportedly lasted three and a half hours. Yes, it was actually timed it. Because nothing says “career suicide” like turning terrible judgment into a stopwatch event.
According to reports, authorities were alerted after suspicious behavior raised enough red flags to look like a carnival. Once police got involved, things moved fast. Charges followed, handcuffs clicked and just like that, the chalkboard was replaced with a booking photo.
Let’s be clear. This isn’t a scandal. It’s a crime. Full stop!
The depraved sex marathon kicked off when McKenna Kindred, now 27, invited her 17-year-old student from Spokane’s Central Valley High School to the house she shared with her lawyer husband, Kyle Kindred, in November 2022, the Daily Mail reported.
Her devoted hubby was away on a hunting trip.
The teen later told investigators he arrived at the Kindred household sometime between 6:30 and 7 p.m., and that he and Kindred began kissing while watching a movie.
Things escalated on the couch, where the two had sex for about 10 minutes before moving into Kindred’s bedroom – where they fornicated until around 10 p.m. that evening, the boy reportedly told police.
They eventually “finished” and then “hung out” back in the living room before taking a shower, the outlet reported.
The boy finally left the house around 11:30 p.m.
The pair’s inappropriate relationship had taken off months earlier, in June 2022, when the teen found Kindred’s Instagram account — sparking a series of sexually explicit text messages, pictures and videos sent between them.
So no, this isn’t a “wild story.” It’s a cautionary tale. One that didn’t need to happen, one that shouldn’t have happened and one that ended exactly the way everyone already knows it does.
With sirens, charges and zero excuses.
