Since entering American politics, President Donald Trump has made numerous endorsements. His most recent act was lending support to an NFL coach who had just been dismissed.
After the 63-year-old coach was sacked by the Baltimore Ravens after 18 seasons, Trump issued a message on his social media platform, Truth Social, urging NFL teams to hire John Harbaugh.
On the post, Trump wrote:
“HIRE JOHN HARBAUGH, FAST,” “HE, AND HIS BROTHER, ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!!”
Following the family’s July visit to the White House, Trump posted about the Harbaughs. During an offseason media appearance, Harbaugh discussed the visit, which was also accompanied by his brother, Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh.
At the time, Harbaugh stated:
“It was an amazing experience,” “It’s not often you get invited and you get a chance to do something like that as a family. We were there, my daughter was there, Jim’s daughters were there. My mom and dad were there. My mom and President Trump – just seeing how he treated her was really meaningful.”
Harbaugh continued by saying that while his brother had seen seven presidents, Trump was the fourth he had met, after Joe Biden, Barack Obama (twice), and Ronald Reagan.
At first, the older Harbaugh brother also objected to the Baltimore Banner’s question concerning Trump’s disparaging remarks about Baltimore.
