Meet Alicia Hughes, a high school secretary whose February 14th did not exactly go as planned. Instead of heart-shaped candy, there was newly released footage. And instead of love songs, there were serious admissions.
According to reports, Hughes’ husband allegedly caught having relations with a student. Yes, a student on Valentine’s Day. Because apparently regular scandal just was not dramatic enough.
Newly released footage shows Hughes admitting she was involved with the student. The internet, of course, reacted the only way it knows how: loudly!
Alicia Hughes, who was working at Randolph East School Corporation in Indiana was allegedly found by her husband on February 14 having sex with a student from the school.
Ms Hughes’ husband then allegedly beat her, before she called police to their Union City home “for battery”, according to the New York Post.
After the incident, a 17-year-old boy came forward to police, alleging he had had sex with the 31-year-old Ms Hughes “at least five times”, which began in a car outside a discount store.
In shocking footage, Ms Hughes admitted “the physical thing” with the 18-year-old had been going on for about a month before it was uncovered during a police interview.
“This is the third time that I have been with him,” Ms Hughes said.
She later stated the physical relationship did not begin before the teenager was 18.

After confronted with the claims from the 17-year-old boy, Ms Hughes denied having sex with other students while in the police interview, but admitted to meeting the child at the discount store and sending pictures to him.
“I never slept with him,” she said.
Randolph East School Corporation superintendent Neal Adams had this to say about the wild allegations.
“Upon becoming aware of concerns, the corporation fully co-operated with law enforcement and will continue to do so as the investigation proceeds,” Superintendent Adams said.
“We appreciate the professionalism and diligence of local authorities in handling this matter.
“Because this is an active criminal investigation, and to protect the privacy of students and the integrity of the process, RESC will not comment further on specific details at this time.”
Valentine’s Day is supposed to be about romance, but this story is more about poor decisions and even worse timing.
The newly released footage only made things heavier. Admissions on camera tend to do that. Once it is recorded, there is no “that was taken out of context” escape route.
In the end, this is less about scandal and more about accountability. Actions have consequences, especially when minors are involved.
