The tale of Bill Belichick’s exclusion from the first ballot Hall of Fame just took an odd turn.
Many were incensed that Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl champion and a great trailblazer in the sport, could have been excluded from the Pro Football Hall of Fame after the Patriots star was notably passed over on his first try to enter Canton.
Jordon Hudson, Belichick’s girlfriend, of course, had strong feelings about that as well.
A bizarre interaction with the official website of the Pro Football Hall of Fame was recently shared on social media by Hudson, who is supposedly hosting a lavish party for Belichick on the same day as the Hall of Fame induction ceremony on August 8.
The website canceled her order of three Hall of Fame logo patches, according to Hudson’s Instagram post. “Unexpected circumstances” was the sole explanation provided.
Hudson named the Hall of Fame in her caption, seemingly thinking it was a trivial gesture:
“Hey @profootballhof, what were the ‘unforeseen circumstances’?”
Even though Hudson’s straightforward command was abruptly canceled for no apparent reason, it might still go too far to claim that Belichick was the target of malevolent intent.
