After being exonerated in the assault case involving his young sister, Patrick Beverley is speaking out, claiming that the “ordeal has truly made our family stronger.”
Patrick, who last played in 2024, posted a statement on his Instagram story.
On Monday evening, Beverley stated:
“I am deeply grateful for all thoughts and prayers for the family,”.
“We must continue to protect our children, especially our young girls. This ordeal has truly made our family stronger. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.”
As we previously reported, Bev’s sister told police that she went to a neighboring park to see her boyfriend in the middle of the night on November 14 without permission.
When she got back, she claimed, Pat was called to the house, and Beverley allegedly grabbed his sister “by her neck with both hands” and lifted her off the ground.
She added that after slamming her body against the wall, PB hit her “approximately one time on her left eye with a closed fist.”
She also said that Beverley had threatened her at the time. However, after reviewing all of the information, the Grand Jury concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support charges in the case, therefore PB is now free and clear.
