If there’s one thing Serena Williams is going to do, it’s mind her business, loudly.
The tennis legend recently popped up online showing off her pole dancing skills. Yes, pole dancing. And no, she did not ask for permission.
The video? Confident, strong and controlled. The kind of core strength that makes you want to do one sit-up and then lie back down immediately.
Now, this comes right in the middle of people whispering about her weight loss, because apparently the internet has appointed itself the official Body Watch Committee.
They talked when she left, they talk while she’s gone, and they’ll really have something to talk about when she’s back. Serena looks phenomenal and the grind never stopped. 👑😤 pic.twitter.com/TWTlZrLXyi

The legendary Tennis champion, 44, promoted a weight loss drug and credited the GLP-1 provider Ro for her body transformation in a controversial ad on Super Bowl Sunday.
She faced huge backlash for the advert, with one fan branding it ‘disgusting’ that she is ‘pushing weight loss drugs’ while another said that ‘we’re cooked’ because the ‘greatest tennis player of all time is on Ozempic’.
But brushing off the controversy, Serena took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to share a clip showing off her new figure as she practiced pole dancing.
Serena said she was ‘back at it’ as she lifted herself up on the pole, captioning the video: ‘I’m back to training on my 2 favorite devices.’
Instead of addressing the backlash, she gave us athletic artistry. Instead of defending her body, she showed what it can do.
Also, can we acknowledge that trying pole dancing after retiring from professional tennis is peak overachiever behavior?
Most people retire and buy comfortable shoes.
Serena retires and says, “What else can I conquer?”
Backlash or not, she seems unbothered, focused and glowing.
And if anyone still has opinions, they are welcome to try a pole class themselves.
Just stretch first.
