College football has officially entered its “wait, what timeline is this?” era, and right at the center of it is Bill Belichick, now gearing up for his second season as head coach at University of North Carolina.
Yes, Bill Belichick. The hoodie. The mumbling press conferences. The human embodiment of “we’re on to the next game.” Somehow, he’s now out here in college football, trying to convince teenagers to run his system.
But wait, there’s more. Enter Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend who is apparently playing the role of chief morale officer ahead of the new season, because nothing says “championship run” like emotional support from your significant other.
She’s been backing him as he prepares for year two at UNC.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Jordon Hudson chronicled a media gathering featuring her boyfriend, UNC football coach Bill Belichick, as he prepares for his second year at the helm.
“Back into the fishbowl 🐠 Happy 1st spring practice,” the 24-year-old captioned one post that featured Belichick, 73, on the mic.
Hudson then posted a close-up snap of Belichick, writing, “All smiles with the Irish media.”
Belichick, who went 4-8 in what was a roller-coaster debut with the Tar Heels, will kick off his sophomore season from Dublin, Ireland.
UNC will face TCU in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on Aug. 29 — roughly one year after the Horned Frogs demolished the Tar Heels in Belichick’s first game, 48-14.
At the end of the day, though, it’s simple. Even legends need support, whether it’s game plans, recruiting battles, or just figuring out how NIL deals work, having someone in your corner matters.
So as Belichick heads into season two, he’s not just bringing his defensive genius. He’s bringing backup. Emotional backup.
And honestly? That might be the real secret weapon for his second season.
