Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of Travis Kelce, is vying to be the next big thing on “The Bachelorette” after Taylor Frankie Paul’s season, which was scheduled to premiere on March 22, was canceled by ABC.
On Wednesday, Nicole, who intermittently dated the Chiefs tight end from 2017 to 2022, posted a TikTok video that mimicked a reality dating show audition tape.
Nicole put the following over the video, which features her lip-syncing to a lighthearted soundtrack:
“My audition to be the next Bachelorette,”

“Hey @ABC, I heard you’re looking for a stand-in.” The host of the “Pregame” podcast added a crying-laughing expression and a red rose emoji.
In the video, Nicole is acting out the screenplay of someone making a list of their achievements for a dating profile. Nicole seemed to be kidding, as she hasn’t dated anyone in public since her breakup with Kelce.
In the past, the influencer experimented with reality TV. In February of last year, she and former reality star Brody Jenner passed the final selection to win Season 3 of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
Disney, the parent company of ABC, decided not to broadcast Frankie Paul’s season after TMZ released a graphic video from 2023 that showed Paul hurling chairs at her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, in front of her 8-year-old daughter, Indy.
Paul, a cast member of Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” and Mortensen are part of a Utah domestic abuse investigation. Disney has not yet disclosed whether it would proceed with a fresh cast for “The Bachelorette.”
Swift and Kelce started dating in the summer of 2023 and made their relationship public in October of that same year. Kelce signed a three-year, $57.7 million contract extension with the Chiefs this week after thinking about retiring.
After declaring their engagement in August of last year, Kelce and Swift are apparently planning to get married this summer.
