Wide receiver A.J. Brown is still on the Eagles roster as the team begins its summer program this week, despite the NFL’s current expectation that he will play for the Patriots when the regular season begins.
However, Brown is not anticipated to be involved in that project. According to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo, Brown will not be attending the Eagles’ offseason practice while he awaits word on his future.
According to reports, a trade that transfers Brown to the Patriots is probably going to occur after June 1 in order to avoid the cap. Until the Eagles and Patriots hold mandatory minicamps later in June, all activity is voluntary.
The top Eagles wide receivers that are anticipated to be on the team’s roster come September are DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, and Hollywood Brown.
