Gabrielle Carrington, 29, has appeared in court over allegations that are about as serious as it gets. She is accused of attempting to kill fellow influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska outside the Inca nightclub in Soho. Yes, outside a nightclub at 4:30 a.m.

According to reports, things escalated fast. Carrington allegedly used her Mercedes not as a ride home, but as a weapon. Not ideal, not recommended. Definitely illegal.

The charges? A long list. Attempted murder, dangerous driving, being nearly twice over the drink-drive limit. And as if that wasn’t enough, two other people, a woman and a security guard were also reportedly hit during the incident.

So, to summarize: bad decisions were made. Then more bad decisions, then somehow, even worse ones.

At Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, Carrington, wearing grey, stood with her hands placed on her hips as District Judge Nina Tempia ordered her to remain behind bars.

Carrington, who boasts over 365,000 Instagram followers under the username RIELLEUK, reached the X Factor live finals in 2013 as part of the three-piece group Miss Dynamix.

Ms Zakrzewska, who is in her 30s, is a TikTok and Instagram influencer known by the handle Klaudiaglam.

Setting out the charges, prosecutor Rizwan Amin told the court: “In the early hours of Sunday morning, April 19, ambulance services and police were called to Argyll Street for reports that a woman had been run over. Officers had attended at 5am, and also London Ambulance Service were on the scene.

Carrington is definitely in some deep trouble with the law and it’s not looking too good for her.

Mr Amin stated that the vehicle “immediately moved off and sharply mounted the pavement”.

“During this manoeuvre, the vehicle has struck Ms Zakrzewska who was position to the front side of the vehicle and she was dragged forwards and dropped between the vehicle and a metal bike rack”, he said. “As the vehicle kept moving forward, it fully took her underneath the vehicle and at the same time had struck a security member of staff, Anoush Chyche, who was on the pavement.”

Carrington is alleged to have reversed the car as Ms Zakrzewska emerged from beneath the vehicle, lying face down on the ground. “During the manoeuvre, a Ms Latisha Armstrong was also hit by the vehicle and suffered a fractured scaphoid bone in her wrist area,” said Mr Amin.

In the end, this story is less about influencers and more about accountability. The courtroom is a very different stage. There are no likes, no comments. Just facts, evidence, and consequences.
