Nikola Jokić’s older brother, Strahinja Jokić, had a heated verbal exchange with a San Antonio Spurs fan during the Nuggets’ game against the Spurs on Saturday, a confrontation that quickly went viral on social media.
The incident occurred in the stands at Ball Arena as the reigning three-time NBA MVP was fouled and went down. A Spurs fan behind Strahinja Jokić appeared to laugh or taunt in response, prompting the 6-foot-9 Strahinja to stand up and shout at the fan, motioning for him to sit down.
Nuggets reporter Rachel Strand captured the moment on social media, writing that the Spurs fan “just got absolutely chewed out” and “made the Spurs fan sit down FAST.” Video footage shows Strahinja leaning forward aggressively while yelling, with the fan quickly complying and taking his seat.
Spurs fan just got absolutely chewed out as he kinda taunted or celebrated toward Strahinja Jokic (who is in some box seats behind him.) He made the Spurs fan sit down FAST lol.

No physical contact was reported, and the game continued without further disruption in the stands. The Nuggets went on to face the Spurs in what was otherwise a standard regular-season matchup.
Strahinja Jokić has a history of intense reactions in NBA arenas. Last year, he pleaded guilty to trespassing and disorderly conduct after punching a Lakers fan in the face during a 2024 playoff game at Ball Arena, for which he received probation.
The Jokić brothers, including Strahinja and Nemanja, have become well-known for their vocal support of Nikola from the stands, occasionally drawing attention for their passionate — and sometimes confrontational — defense of the Serbian star.

Saturday’s exchange added another chapter to that reputation, with fans on social media reacting with a mix of amusement and references to the family’s protective dynamic. No immediate comment was available from the Nuggets or the Jokić family.
The Nuggets and Spurs split their season series, with both teams battling for playoff positioning in the Western Conference.
