Sprint king Noah Lyles and track star Junelle Bromfield are officially married. Yes, you read that right. Two Olympians, one relationship and zero false starts.
Let’s be honest. When two elite runners get together, expectations are high. Not just for races, but for everything. You already know their relationship timeline probably moved faster than most people’s Wi-Fi. Dinner dates? Quick. Engagement? Efficient. Wedding? Blink and you missed it. And now? Boom. Husband and wife.
“The wedding blended American and Jamaican traditions in honor of the athlete couple’s respective backgrounds, with a special performance by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard and plenty of dancing,” Vogue captioned the photo set on Instagram.
The track and field athletes have been involved since 2017, when Bromfield reached out to Lyles via IG.
“Junelle decided to slide into my DMs, asking me the question, ‘Do you cook?’ And so from there, it led to a very long seven-year story of us eventually meeting, falling in love, being able to be with each other, not being able to be with each other, and then finally getting into a relationship where we have always stayed together—and now have gotten married,” the groom told Vogue.
Lyles later asked her out again in 2022, and two years later, he proposed to his bride in front of a floral arrangement that read, “Will you marry me?”
It’s refreshing to see something positive trending. No drama, no chaos. Just two people who clearly found their rhythm and decided to keep running with it together.
Moral of the story? Love doesn’t need a stopwatch, but it helps when both people are moving in the same direction.
So shoutout to Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield. From the track to the altar, they made it look easy.
Now the real question is, who wins the race to the fridge at home?
