The spotlight has landed on influencer Alix Earle and NFL legend Tom Brady. And suddenly, everyone online decided they were basically one soft-launch away from wedding bells.
It all started during Alix’s appearance on her YouTube series ‘Get Real with Me.’ She talked about her dating preferences and casually mentioned that she tends to be attracted to older men. That was it. One sentence, one harmless preference, and the internet did the rest like it was a Netflix script.
Within minutes, fans began connecting dots, because apparently, in 2026, saying “I like older men” is equivalent to writing “Hi Tom Brady, call me” in invisible ink.
She had on fellow influencer Quenlin Blackwell, who also admitted to enjoying the maturity that comes with dating older men.
‘As you age, you realize people aren’t supposed to act like that,’ Blackwell, also 25, who later added: ‘I don’t date guys my age.’
Earle then revealed that she recently tried dating someone closer to her age but that it did not end up working out.
‘I went on a date with a guy who was a year older than me. I can’t do it again,’ she said. ‘That’s never happening.’
‘Did you feel like you were mothering?’ Blackwell asked of Earle courting a man in her age range.
‘It didn’t feel like I was with, like, a man,’ she said, before admitting that she wants ‘someone to take care of [her].’
Tom Brady continues to exist as a retired quarterback who cannot attend an event, breathe, or order a salad without being linked to someone new. At this point, the man could trip over a microphone cable and the internet would say he’s “soft-launching a new relationship era.”
Alix, for her part, didn’t drop any names. No confirmations, no teases. Just a general preference that older men are more her vibe.
But the internet does not care about nuance. The internet cares about storyline, drama, and a little bit of chaos.
